In 1951, Frances G. Fitzpatrick and Donald W. Zimmerman founded the firm, then known as Fitzpatrick & Zimmerman. The law office was originally located on Court Street above the old Peoples Bank in New Philadelphia, Ohio. In 1976, Frank J. Rose Jr. joined the law firm. In 1978, not only did the firm move to our present location at 140 Fair Avenue N.W., New Philadelphia, but the firm also welcomed the addition of D. Brad Zimmerman.

In 1983, the firm officially changed its name to Fitzpatrick, Zimmerman & Rose Co, L.P.A. In 1991, J. Greg Miller joined the firm thereby bringing fifteen years of real estate lending experience to the firm. Attorney Miller's experience enabled the firm to grow in the real estate planning areas.

In 1996, Steven A. Anderson joined the firm and has expanded the firm's practice into the areas of Collection Law, Criminal Law, Liquor Law and Litigation. Paul Hervey and Mike Warkall joined the firm in 2006. Paul is one of the firm's main litigators.(courtroom practitioners) He concentrates on civil litigation, family law, divorce, dissolutions, custody matters and criminal law for the firm. Mike manages the Sugarcreek office at 202 W. Main St. He concentrates his practice in general corporate, real estate, and trust and estate planning.
